About Me
I am thrilled to be a part of the Redding STEM team as a 4th grade teacher this school year!
The last two years I was a kindergarten teacher at Mistletoe School. Prior to that, I worked for Shasta View Academy as an Independent Study Teacher for 10 years. Although I enjoyed my job at Shasta View Academy, I greatly missed being in the classroom, working directly with students. Two years ago I applied for classroom teaching positions. I was thankful to be given the opportunity to work with kindergarten students at Mistletoe School but I am extremely excited to have the chance to work in 4th grade at Redding STEM! The areas of study covered in 4th grade are fun and exciting to me and I am looking forward to sharing my excitement with my students.
I have a wonderful daughter, Mattea, that my husband Jeff and I are so very proud of and thankful for. She is extremely creative and artistic and has been a pleasure to parent. In addition to Mattea, I have a dog, Stormy (my fur-baby), a cat MoJo (Mattea's fur-baby), a parakeet, Billie, and 4 goldfish.
Along with how much I love my daughter and dog, it won't take long for my students to learn that I love rainbows!
I am looking forward to our year of learning and growing in 4th grade! I have heard wonderful things about the upcoming 4th grade students and can’t wait to meet you all.
