About Ms. Osborn

Greetings!

 

I am so thrilled to be joining the RSTEM community this year. While I have 11 years of teaching experience working with upper elementary students, this will be my first time going on learning adventures with 6th graders.

 

The vision for my life always involved working with young people. After graduating with a BS in interdisciplinary studies, I decided to pursue my desire to be an educator in 2012 by earning an MA in teaching from George Fox University. I moved to Northern California in 2015 from Southern Oregon, where I was born and raised. Since I've been in Shasta County, I've taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade at a local private school.

 

I've always loved learning and hope to share this fervor with our class. I care deeply about personal growth and look forward to dreaming up all the possibilities of what we can accomplish together this year. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy reading and writing (mostly poetry), cooking and baking, dancing, laughing, quality time with loved ones, and admiring the beautiful world around me. One of my biggest dreams is to do more international travel, and maybe even visit every continent on the planet in my lifetime!
