Meet Mrs. Paine

I am excited for the year ahead teaching 2nd grade to the RSTEM Rockets!  I began my teaching career in Southern California teaching 1st, 4th and 5th grade. In 2006 I moved with my husband to Hong Kong where I taught Kindergarten and 1st grade at an American International School.  While there, my three children, Josiah, Annette and Annabelle were born. I loved our many adventures in Asia and getting to travel and experience other cultures. After 12 years of life in high rises, we are now enjoying quiet country living. When I’m not teaching I enjoying reading, trail running, gardening, and spending time with my family.

I have a Masters in Education and am certified as a Reading Specialist. I am passionate about reading and seeing kids launched into life-long readers. My absolute favorite part of teaching are the people I share my classroom with. I love creating a safe classroom community and helping students achieve success.
